WHAT? AND WHOSE CHURCH IS IT?

Here’s what you hear from the television evangelists that take claim to the church--the Church, the Church, the Church!
They religiously make reference to the “Church” as though each one of them has title to it. But whose Church is it? Is it John Hagee’s? Pat Robertson’s? Hal Lindsey’s? Or is it a “Church” in one of the other 33,800 plus Protestant Churches that teach gospels with many disagreeing and competing teachings?
Is it possible that Jesus intended for man to interpret His Words in a kaleidoscope manner? If Protestant “logic” does not denounce such asinine construing of God’s Word…then the Bible does. Here’s what Scripture teaches:
“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema. As we said before, so now I say again: If any one preach to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him be anathema.” (Galatians 1:8-9)
“Be not led away with various and strange doctrines.” (Hebrews 13:9)
God is not the author of confusion. He DID NOT establish thousands of churches—He established only one church—The Catholic Church. (By the way--the meaning of Protestant is—to protest the Catholic Church).
Here’s a question for you Protestants: What is meant by Matthew 16:18 that says: “And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build MY CHURCH, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
You Protestants will undoubtedly answer this question with as many versions as you have “churches”—but keep in mind--our Lords Words in describing His Church were singular, not plural.
Here He clearly, by divine revelation to St. Peter made a solemn profession of his faith of the divinity of Christ; so in recompense of his faith and profession, our Lord here declares to St. Peter the dignity to which he is pleased to raise him: viz., that he to whom He had already given the name Peter, signifying a rock, (St. John 1:42), should be a rock indeed, of invincible strength, for the support of the building of His one and only church; in which building he should be, next to Christ himself, the chief foundation stone, in quality of chief pastor, ruler, and governor; and should have accordingly all fullness of ecclesiastically power, signified by the keys of the kingdom of heaven.
The gates of hell, that is, the whole strength of Satan, and all the efforts he can make, will never be able to prevail over the Church of Christ. By this promise we are fully assured, that neither idolatry, heresy, Protestantism, the false Vatican ll “Catholic” Church, nor any pernicious error whatsoever shall at any time prevail over the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
Pope Leo Xlll: “The Church in respect of its unity belongs to the category of things indivisible by parts.” (Satis Cognitum #4, June 29, 1896)

Pray the Rosary, wear the Brown Scapular and pray for the conversion of all those in religious error.
